Caesars Ready For Online Poker
Following hot on the heels of the MGM group, who recently gained approval to run an online poker site in Nevada, Caesars Interactive Gaming has now also been given preliminary approval to start up an online operation by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Caesars is now the owner of the rights to the World Series Of Poker and it has chosen to use WSOP branding when its internet poker games go live. WSOP branded sites have actually been operational for some time for European customers as a skin on the 888 Poker network, so it is no surprise that Caesars has confirmed that 888 Poker will be the software platform it intends to use when it adds a new room for American customers.
Officially there is still one final hearing on 20th December before the full license can be granted but it is widely expected that it is a foregone conclusion that Caesars will gain the approval they need. They would become the 17th company to be granted an interactive gaming license to offer online poker to the state of Nevada when games go live in 2013.
3 happy poker players:)
